“In a Dream” is an encaustic painting of a lady that is in a dream like state. This painting explores that feeling of being in a dream, sometimes while asleep and sometime while waking. The woman is drawn in a hyper-realistic way to bring emphasis to the subject. The imagined world around her is represented by the splashes of reds, pinks, blues and gold wax around her. Bubbles of colored wax float around her as if each were a world she could step into.
